Revised Texas Core Competencies for Early Childhood Practitioners and Administrators

This Just In - BooksThe Texas Early Learning Council just released an updated version of the Texas Core Competencies for Early Childhood Practitioners. Included in the updated document you will find new resources for professionals and refined core competency statements.

This document helps professionals in the field of early childhood education be more aware of the skills and knowledge they should possess to be successful in their careers, as they include the latest research on early childhood professional skills and knowledge.

The Texas Core Competencies for Early Childhood Practitioners and Administrators are organized into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Early childhood professionals can advance through the levels by acquiring additional skills and knowledge in each category.

The Council is also in the process of developing Core Competencies for Trainers and Coaches/Mentors as well as new training modules on the Core Competencies for Practitioners and Administrators. Be watching because these new resources will be released later in 2013!
