Fall Leadership Conference Is Here

On November 6 and 7, we are hosting the annual Fall Leadership Conference at the Collin County College Preston Ridge campus Conference Center which is located at 9700 Wade Blvd. Frisco, TX.  This year’s theme is Engaging All Learners and we have a wide range of fabulous nationally known speakers.  The banner advertising this conference has been running on our R10 home page for the last few weeks.  One perk of this conference is that it is free to all of our Region 10 public schools and that is not a bad deal for a conference agenda of this stature.  ;0)

We are “going green” this year and not printing a big notebook of handouts.  There are two reasons for this: 1) it saves us a great deal of money in print costs (as well as saving several trees) and 2) we are trying to access and model the use of 21st century technology and skills.  All resources are uploaded to an application called Guidebook.  This is a great application that can be loaded to all types of technology whether it is your smart phone, ipad, android device or more conventional computer.  For those not attending the conference, check this application out at: http://guidebook.com/g/iqutwzo4/  If you would like to have the code for the resources, please email me and I will provide that code after the event is finished. This tool might be a resource you may want to use on your campuses, classrooms or at your district or charter level.

We still have some room for these two days (Nov. 6-7) so if you get a chance to attend, you may register via walk-in and participate in one of the most beneficial staff development opportunities Region 10 can provide– especially at this cost.  ;0)

We are also using this application for our legal session on November 8th.  This session is completely full at 800 participants so no walk-ins or waitlisted registrations are allowed for this date.
