Family fun at the Festival!

Family fun

There’s so much free fun for families at the Festival—stories read by the authors of favorite picture books, DIY craft activities, sing-a-longs, and more.

Children’s book authors and programming highlights include R.L. Stine, author of the famed Goosebumps series, with his new book A Midsummer’s Night Scream, Lemony Snicket (All the Wrong Questions), Bob Shea (Unicorn Thinks He’s Pretty Great), Katherine Applegate (The One and Only Ivan), Dyslexia Awareness Month with a screening of the documentary Embracing Dyslexia followed by a Q&A with director Luis Macias, and many, many more.

The youngest readers will enjoy the Children’s Chapter, by presenting sponsor H-E-B, which includes the Children’s Read Me a Story Tent, the Children’s Entertainment Tent, and the Children’s Activity Tent.

Our biggest piece of advice to ensure your family has the best possible Festival experience is to plan your schedule in advance. To view the entire children’s schedule and find out more information about the Festival’s family-friendly features, visit www.texasbookfestival.org.

The countdown is officially on— only one more week until the Texas Book Festival is finally here!

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

The Texas Book Festival
