The AASL Best Apps for Teaching & Learning Committee is seeking nominations of apps that encourage student engagement in learning and reinforce innovative teaching.  Nominated apps should strengthen instruction, critical thinking skills, and inquiry. The primary objective of the committee is to develop a vetted list of 25 apps tied to AASL Standards for the 21st-Century Learner which allow students and educators to think, create, share, and grow.

Nominations are accepted on an ongoing basis, however, nominations to be considered for recognition at the next ALA Annual Conference must be submitted byMarch 31.

Terry Roper, Library Consultant for Region 10 ESC. has been an educator/librarian in the North Texas area for 22 years. She has worked on elementary and high school campuses as well as central administration. Ms. Roper has experience dealing with English language learners of all levels and works closely with the Region 10 Literacy Team. Terry loves dealing with literacy and information dissemination and talking about book stuff!
