Trick or Treat

It is hard to believe that October 31 is just around the corner! Even if you don’t participate in Halloween activities, make sure to be watchful for all of the little ones that will be out and about on that evening. If you’re driving, pay special attention to the surroundings and don’t get distracted! In their excitement, young children might suddenly forget the rules and dart out into the street unexpectedly, so try to be extra cautious and treat neighborhoods like school zones.

If you dress your little one up to participate in any of the festivities, remember that safety should always come first! Check costumes ahead of time to ensure that the costume fits properly and is free from tripping risks, obscured vision, and choking hazards. Also, costumes should be fire resistant and include some sort of reflective material if possible.
