Kindergarten Entry AssessmentThe Children’s Learning Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is recruiting participants for focus groups regarding the Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA). The focus group session will take place in San Antonio in July.

During the focus group, according to information released by The Children’s Learning Institute, kindergarten teachers will discuss specific items on the assessment and teacher training around assessment administration. School district administrators and principals will discuss assessment implementation and reporting.

The Children’s Learning Institute indicated that all participants will receive a thank you gift and admission to all three days of the 4th Annual Texas School Ready! Early Childhood Summer Institute, taking place July 9-11 in San Antonio.  The focus groups will take place during one session of the institute, so participants will be able to attend all other sessions, including the opening and closing sessions.
