This Just In - BooksDid you hear the big news?!? A recently discovered Dr. Seuss book went on sale this week! The release of this new book comes 25 years after the author’s last work, “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”

The book is entitled “What Pet Should I Get?” and features the same brother and sister pair that we met in the 1960 Dr. Seuss classic, “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.” The fun plot of this new story shows these siblings contemplating their options during a trip to the pet store.

Dr. Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Geisel, died in 1991 at the age of 87. It is reported that his widow, Audrey Geisel, discovered this manuscript and accompanying illustrations at their home shortly after his passing. At that time, however, these items were packed away only to be rediscovered just two years ago by Mrs. Geisel and Claudia Prescott (Dr. Seuss’s and longtime secretary).

For Seuss fans, this release was an exciting and much anticipated occurrence! By the way, do you think there will be another Seuss book in our future? Be sure to stay tuned as it is rumored that even more treasures were discovered in his home! We’ll just have to wait and see how many more places we might go with Dr. Seuss!
