House Bill 4 – Guiding the Implementation

Pre-KEarlier this year, House Bill 4 was passed by the 84th Texas Legislature and signed into law by Governor Abbott. House Bill 4 is related to High Quality Prekindergarten and The Texas Education Agency is seeking input from stakeholders to help guide the implementation of this legislation. In light of this, Region 10 ESC is holding a stakeholders meeting this Friday, November 20, 9:00-2:00. Input will be gathered on multiple topics including: High Quality Prekindergarten Grant Program Implementation, Curriculum, Proposed Pre-K Guidelines, Teacher Qualifications, Professional Development, Family Engagement, and Diagnostic Assessments. We have a few seats left for this opportunity, so it is not too late for you to get involved! Here is the link to registration: HB 4 Stakeholders Meeting. If you plan to attend this event, please bring your own laptop if possible. Lunch and substitute reimbursement (if applicable) will be provided.
